Synthetic Cast Bandages and Accessories

Rhena® therm

Synthetic cast bandage consisting of a flexible knitted polyester fabric coated with a thermoplastic polyester, resin-free, activated by heat; the bandage can be applied and moulded without gloves and does not stick to the skin; it is water-resistant and permeable to air and water vapour; setting time approx. 5 minutes; the cast is load-bearing after approx. 20 minutes; use bandage or cast scissors to remove the cast.

Rhena® cast

Synthetic cast bandage consisting of a knitted glass fibre fabric impregnated with polyurethane resin, activated by water; easy to apply and to mould; setting time approx. 5 minutes; the cast is load-bearing after approx. 30 minutes; use cast saw to remove; available in three colours.

Rhena® cast splint

Synthetic splint system consisting of multiple layers of a knitted fiberglass fabric impregnated with polyurethane resin and a hydrophobic padding material; the side which is covered by a non-woven fabric is activated by water in order to moisten the whole splint evenly; the other side is covered with a felt which serves as a padding; can be handled without using gloves; setting time approx. 3-5 minutes; the cast is load-bearing after approx. 20 minutes; use cast scissors to remove; available in rolls in a practical dispenser box as well as individual splints in various needs-based dimensions.

Rhena® cast boot

High-quality shoe consisting of soft, resistant synthetic material, with velcro strip for securing the foot individually; with a cushioning insole and a non-slip, hard-wearing walking sole; can be used for the left as well as right foot; hand-washable.
