IR (A) - instrument rating (flight training)
The aim of the IR (A) flying training course is to train holders of either a PPL(A) or a CPL(A) to the level of proficiency necessary to conduct safe and effective flights in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) with a minimum decision height.
CPL (A) - Commercial Pilot Licence (flight training)
A Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) is a qualification that permits the holder to act as the pilot of an aircraft for renumeration.
PPL (A) - Private Pilot Licence (flight training) Night qualification included

IR (A) - Instrument Rating (Aeroplane)
Instrument Rating refers to the qualifications that a pilot must have in order to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Instrument rating is a must if you want to become a professional pilot and is useful when flying long distances.
