Membrane pressure expansion vessels
Expansion vessels for potable water
Solar expansion vessels
Pressure expansion vessels are used to compensate fluctuations in fluid volume caused by temperature fluctuations and to keep the system pressure within the working limits. They are used in heating systems, solar systems and circuits of potable water used with storage water heaters. The vessels are made of welded high-quality deep-drawing steel and finished with anticorrosion surface treatment in color corresponding to the vessel type. A diaphragm divides the steel vessel into two sections, one containing gas and the other heat-transfer fluid. When the fluid is cold, almost the entire volume of the expansion vessel is filled with gas. As the fluid temperature rises, its volume grows and the fluid enters the expansion vessel and compresses the gas in the other section. When the heat-transfer fluid cools down, the gas presses it out of the expansion vessel again.
