Health and therapy pools are tailored to the specific needs encountered in rehabilitation and therapy.

In addition to the aims of improvement and healing in relation to therapy, there is also support for integration in association with schooling and assistance with motor activity and motivation.

The excellent material properties of stainless steel ensure that Berndorf Bäderbau´s health and therapy pools are hygienic and safe for medical use, as the smooth surface of the stainless steel means that there is no growth of microorganisms and algae.
Cleaning the pools is a quick and easy process.

We worked together with experienced physiotherapists to produce swimming pools and facilities that are tailored to therapeutic requirements. A Berndorf Bäderbau health and therapy pool can be used to aid balance, motor activity, receptiveness to stimuli and spatial awareness - we customise the product design according to the stated requirements.

Swimming pools made by Berndorf Bäderbau are equipped with the necessary facilities for the safety and comfort of patients and therapists, which also makes working in the pools easier.

At the customer´s request, we can of course also ensure that all conventional stainless steel pools are suitably equipped for disabled access.

Glass therapy pools

Ideally suited for physiotherapy and water exercises. The completely self-supporting stainless steel pool construction means that the pool is accessible from all sides and observation is also possible from all sides through the glass walls. This facilitates the work of the therapists, thereby aiding the course of therapy.

The design of the glass therapy pool is in line with the statutory TÜV and DIN regulations (German technical and industrial standards). Fittings such as rails which can be gripped with the whole hand, anti-slip stair surfaces, etc. offer additional safety and comfort.

Technical description:

The glass therapy pools are made of 19mm thick float glass panes, glued into a stainless steel frame which consists of posts, the pool wall foot and the overflow gutter profile.
Vertical loads and the water pressure are absorbed by the pool walls and drawn off via the anchorage at the bottom.The pool floor has an anti-slip surface, the watertightness system is highly flexible, and the pool inflow takes place via inflow jets in the floor duct, flush with the pool floor.

The glass therapy pools can be either

• freestanding or
• connected to existing facilities by means of a stainless steel bracket

The pool body with the necessary hydraulics and the piping up to the transfer point outside the pool are all included as standard.
